Rating: - great budget heart rate monitor
It is crucial that you have a lot of good quality batteries for the sensor transmitter....if not, you will have decreased range of transmission, faulty heart rate readings and shorter usage times....

I got cheap 8 packs of the batteries and I wear the monitor for 30 minute runs....after 2 weeks, I went through all my batteries....

The monitor will still work, but the range is decreased and I get faulty readings...

You have to put a conductive gel or just sweat a little on your chest in order to have adequate heart rate pickup by the sensor...

otherwise, it does what it says it will do for a good price

I did not managed to obtain any display of heart rate. I checked the battery; ok, nothing to do but send it back and try to find one in store.

Rating: - Can't beat it for the price
At first, I thought I had made a mistake by purchasing this unit as opposed to the Timex heart rate monitor that's advertised here at Amazon. The problem was that I was initially getting mixed results with the heart rate reading when going for a bike ride. What I discovered was that if you use a little bit of Aloe Vera Gel on the transmitter 'contact points', it will instantly solve the problem. Other than this initial issue, it has been a great training tool and I highly recommend it for any one requiring a basic heart rate monitor.
