Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Rock, one half of the legendary rap duo, Heltah Skeltah, returns with Shell Shock. The Rockness Monsta has been at the forefront of attention lately as he is battling an attempted murder charge to which he has pled not-guilty. After being released from jail in the Winter of 2007, Rock has since appeared on MTV's Mixtape Monday's and has been published in The Source's Back-To-The-Lab Heltah Skeltah interview (April, 08 Issue) and in XXL Magazine (April, 08 Issue). His single 'Attempted Murda' is climbing charts across the nation. Rock established himself as a prominent artist as one half of Heltah Skeltah (Nocturnal and Magnum Force albums) and is also part of the mighty Boot Camp Clik which just released their latest album 'Casualties of War' in 2007 and has already shipped over 20,000 units nationwide. Rock is now prepping for a new Heltah Skeltah project with long time partner, Sean Price, entitled D.I.R.T. (Da Incredible Rap Team) which is scheduled to be released in the Fall of 2008. Shell Shock is new and original music from Rock with special guest appearances by Buckshot, Black Moon, Sean Price, Steele of Smif N Wessun, Ruste Juxx, and more.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Beware Of Da Rockness Monsta!!
Rock has always been one of my favorite members of the Boot Camp Click. He blends skills, flow, charisma and punchlines into great songs. The voice stands out in the group too. Anyway, I love this CD because he is rapping over great beats. BCC has great production, but this time he is rapping of some of the more popular beats and has a new producer name Double Up doing the new production on the CD. One of my favorites is 300 BC, where he flows over Fat Joe's song 300 Brolic. "Rockzilla" is another Favorite. I listened to this CD 3 times consecutively, which is hard to do with most of the stuff out there today. I definitely recommend this CD.
Below is on of my favorite lines by Rock. It is not on this album, but just wanted to share it:

"We cooool, But not that cool like September
Spring to Winter
I be turnin y'all Battlecats to Kringer" - Rock on Feel The Vibe by Frankie Cutlass

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Bootcamp
Long time bootcamp fan. Heltah skeltah, black moon, O.G.C., This click has to down as one of the greatest underground movements to rock a mic. Speaking of rocking the mic, Rock's shell shock has plenty of clever verses and he doesnt deviate from his hardcore in your face style. Sean price and a few other bootcamp members make appearances here. This is more of a mixtape than an album but still well worth the purchase.

Beats B
Rhymes B+
Replay Value B

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Never changin', forever face rearraingin'
Did you ever wonder would it would sound like if a real grimey nasty lyricist got a hold of some of the hot beats that the typical pop garbage mc wasted with their pop garbage lyrics and weak rhymes??? Well, wonder no more. This 21 track "mixtape" is what every Heltah Skeltah fans has been waiting a long time for. A complete album of the MONSTA ripping it like only he can. I know not many eyes will ever see this review, and those that do will probably already know about Rockness, but if you happen to come across this page, you're a hip hop fan, and you've never heard Rock rip a verse you really need to pick up this album and Heltah Skeltah Nocturnal ASAP. The rest of the world can continue sleeping on one of the most impressive and commanding voices to ever pick up a mic.
