"Oye mi canto" is N.O.R.E.'s first foray into reggaeton. According to Nore's bloated ego( his ego matches his weight, bloated! ) Oye is the FIRST breakout reggaeton in the States. Well, I wouldn't say that at all. It may have preceded 'Gasolina' by a few days or weeks, but whatever the case may be, it is still a banger I give it to Nore! Let me just get this out the way, Nore is NOT a reggaeton artist he is a MC and an ENGLISH SPEAKING mc at dat! He, in my opinion, simply jumped on the bandwagon and used his boricua half to capitalize. The fact that he got Daddy Yankee, Gem Estrella and Nina Sky on the track helps as well. I really like the Oye Mi Canto song, both versions, with that great danceable beat. However, I just don't need to hear any profanity! I have kids and I have to make sure I fast forward the beginning of the song on the album version. Still hoping a cleaned version gets released.
