Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
Michael Moore's superb documentary (following in the footsteps of Roger & Me and The Big One) tackles a meaty subject: gun control. Moore skillfully lays out arguments surrounding the issue and short-circuits them all, leaving one impossible question: why do Americans kill each other more often than people in any other democratic nation? Moore focuses his quest around the shootings at Columbine High School and the shooting of one 6-year-old by another near his own hometown of Flint, Michigan. By approaching the headquarters of K-Mart (where the Columbine shooters bought their ammo) and going to Charlton Heston's own home, Moore demands accountability from the forces that support unrestricted gun sales in the U.S. His arguments are conducted with the humor and empathy that have made Moore more than just a gadfly; he's become a genuine voice of reason in a world driven by fear and greed. --Bret Fetzer

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Bernie Goetz is my hero
Although I enjoyed parts of this film, I do not believe that the NRA or the honest establishments who provide firearms or the honest Americans who choose to defend themselves (against these animals who have no regard for life and no regard for humanity) are the problem or the issue. Michael Moore through his documentary "Bowling for Columbine" apparently has a different opinion. Basically the point of this movie is to articulate that: people don't kill people, guns kill people. It's not a new way of thinking. But perhaps it's more marketable or more typical since over the last 10 years we have seen an honest to goodness war on decent Americans. What is the cause of this? And, what is the solution? What are some options for Americans? This documentary does not provide any answers, unfortunately. Instead, MM unilaterally attacks those who choose to bear arms, those who have not broken any laws and those who have only ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - total nonsense
highly edited piece of total nonsense by a radical left wing canadian who hates the usa yet still finds the time and energy to make a ton of money by criticizing it ... this review applies to all of his movies . i hope that if he does get sick he gets his care in his beloved cuba ....good luck

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Another partial to no truth science fiction
People keep paying for movies made by a person who has wasted his "talent" on partial truths to flat out lies. What type of a person would waste his life on lies? Oh, yeah...a person who wants to make money off of ignorant people(I say this with no intentions to insult).

It is ashame that people, like Mr. Moore, are not held accountable for their deceit. Well, eventually they will be. I actually feel sorry for him and for those who believe that he is telling them the truth.

People like Mr. Moore actually hold back the truth and belittle and attack those who hold truth and honor as being important.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Truth
I'm suprised on how easy it is to buy a weapon in the United States. The part the shocked me the most is when he goes to a Michigan bank, which is as well a licensed weapon dealer, where he gets a free gun for putting some money into a Certificate of Deposit. Or when he takes the two kids who survived the shooting in Columbine to make a point at k-mart.
This documentary shows more than just how easy it is to own firearms. It shows that we are in a country full of violence. That there are other country out there like Canada, that also have a lot of families that own guns, but has less violence than we do.
