Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
This isn't quite a live album, greatest hits, or rarities package, although it contains plenty of material that falls under all three columns. Rather, Feast on Scraps is a generous serving of everything Alanis. Its centerpiece is a CD featuring eight previously unreleased songs that were recorded during the Under Rug Swept sessions, plus an acoustic take on the hit 'Hands Clean.' Among the highlights here are a nasty Jagged Little Pill throwback called 'Sister Blister' and a warmly seductive folk number approximating Joni Mitchell called 'Offer.' Then there is the DVD, brimming with superb live performances of sleek, dark pop hits such as 'You Oughta Know,' 'Head Over Feet,' and 'Thank U.' The set is rounded out with some delightfully candid behind-the-scenes footage (watch Alanis break down in tears during the writing of 'Surrendering') that will make her fans gasp in delight. --Aidin Vaziri

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - More garbage
What the hell happened to Alanis.....up to Under rug she was a goddess, then under rug and onward she is just another Avril.....discraceful. This is unreleased songs for alanis's downfall album....no thanks.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A must have
A great album, I don't know why these songs were left off Under Rug Swept as they are great so it is good that they have been put on an album of their own. The DVD was interesting, it was good to see some behind the scenes stuff, the writing and recording process, what her and the band get up to on tour and hear some personal stuff from Alanis. An excellent album with some excellent extras.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - i wish this was on itunes
I'm a die-hard Alanis fan...which means I have all of her albums. There are 4 songs on this collection that I don't have. Some of them are are on 2 or 3 of her albums. I wanted to order the songs off itunes but the album isn't on there.
I just wish it were on itunes...I don't want to pay 21$ for 4 songs.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I'm full!
What a great album! First of all the DVD is inspiring! Loved the bits and pieces from her life! Now the CD is exquisite! Each song left me thinking. Why did she not include them in URS?! Here is how i rate the songs:
Fear of Bliss: 5/5, could of been a HUGE hit, strong and very diverse in the arragements, loved it!
Bent 4 U: 4.5/5, great song, but the chorus just didn't do it for me
Sorry to Myself: 4/5, so sweet, makes me sad at times, but really beautiful
Sister Blister: 5/5, could of been another HUGE hit, great rock song!
Unprodical Daughter: 4/5, wonderful, great rock song!
Simple Together: 3.5/5, good ballad, but a bit boring at parts
Purgatorying: 5/5, haunting, love the instruments in this song! The live version is also beautiful!
Overall an excellent album! Sister Blister and Fear of Bliss should of been released as singles though, they are great, people ... Read More
