Amazon.com:
Underneath all Christine Aguilera's coy affectations and vocal gymnastics lurks a rare talent. With her second album, Aguilera allows it to flower by abandoning all pretense at courting the teenage market. Stripped is a seemingly effortless move into weightier adult territory. Using her extraordinary voice as a much subtler instrument, Aguilera sings movingly and with grit and anger about the disintegration of a relationship; she's ultimately stronger for the pain. But that's not her whole agenda. Aguilera also extols the power of women on 'Can't Hold Us Down,' which features Lil' Kim. Other guests include Dave Navarro, Redman, and Alicia Keys. Aguilera cowrote most of the songs on the disc and produced one cut. She also partnered with former 4 Non Blondes leader and Pink collaborator Linda Perry on four songs, which gives Aguilera a rock edge that she has never before displayed. --Jaan Uhelszki

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - not great
brilliant it's not. it's not even great, but somehow it's worth buying. The album is bold, sometimes agressiv, sometimes sad, shows us a moment in her life that she was truly strugling to find her self. The result is 18 songs and 2 intros that variate from rap to pop and soul, giving you the bless of one of the most beautiful pop records ever released - the record "beautiful". If beautiful is not enough reason to buy the album, her voice definately is. From her first album to this one aguilera really improved in her vocal skills, earning comparison to one of the greatest voices of all time, whitney houston. Outside from "beautiful" and her voice it self the album is deeply honest, christina took part in every part of it's production, from writing and composing to producing it. If you are looking for a brilliant album, buy "back to black" from amy winehouse, "rockferry" from duffy or "not ready to make nice" from ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not as good as Back to basics.
As a singer I use Christina's material for my vocals. I don't love her music through and through but adore the song's Beautiful, Ain't no other man, Hurt and Candyman but all the other filler music is not usable for me and my vocals. Christina has a very sharp voice. It might do her best to do some more soft to the ear stuff but who am I? She still is an awesome singer though! This album only has one decent song, thats why I think I got it so cheap on Amazon.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not what I was expecting
This is a good cd, but it is nothing like what I expected. There's no doubt that Ms Aguilera is all grown up. Powerhouse vocals throughout. The tunes range from loungy cool, to powerful anthem, to all out pop. If you're expecting another pop cd that's all about dancing and boys, this is not it. But, if you're interested in strong vocals having something to say, this is a good cd to have.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome!
My second album by her, and Stripped is just well put together and "raw" sounding. Very much one of her best albums and her vocals on this album are just exceptional..unreal compared to other female artist in her same category, except nobody compares to date to how diversified Chrstina is as an artist and it shows on this album too.
