Editorial Review:

Album Description:
Australian edition now contains a bonus track - 'Tha Crossroads (D.J. U-Neeks Mo Thug Remix) - a worldwide hit single not included on the original version of the album!!!

Amazon.com:
It's somehow appropriate that Ruthless Records' first release since the death of its founder, Eazy-E, would come from Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, a Cleveland-based crew that mixes the smooth L.A. gangsta grooves Eazy helped create with the group's spooky fascination with the afterlife. It's as if Eazy still talks to the members of Bone--Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy, Wish, and Flesh N'--through their beloved Ouija board. And, it seems, even in death the gangsta rap pioneer isn't a bit repentant.

Following last year's multiplatinum EP, Creepin' on Ah Come Up, Bone have put together a debut long-player that builds on everything the first record promised. That is, E.1999 Eternal contains some of the most beautiful music you'll ever be repulsed by. Bone's vocal style is so tuneful and harmonically coordinated that it sounds more like a ghostly chant/sing than like traditional rap. But like Boyz II Men's evil twins, Bone offer up a complex potion of bittersweet crooning and poisonous rapid-fire rhyming that takes us deep into the dark side of life and the twisted side of death. That E.1999 Eternal is so musical only makes its noxious lyrical content all the more subversive. --Roni Sarig

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - BTNH's defining album that they cant top, and cant escape
This masterwork came to the public as Bones first full-length CD which was propelled by their literally classic pro money-earning, death-obssessed intro EP ("Creepin'On Ah Come Up")...though E '99 Eternal needed little help, if any ...that ep set the stage for the takeover that ensued.

"Mo-Murda-and-weed-smoke" sums this CD up in the simplest of terms - nearly every song EVEN OUTSIDE the "marijuana odes", has multiple indo-weed references..and at this point so long later, EVEN AS A BURNER, becomes MONOTONOUS. They do, however, capture the tone of mid 90s reality/Gangsta Rap, while totally changing the landscape at the same time (so-called bone clones were of a plenty at this time--"Gangsta Pat"...you name it). I know lots of people have reviewed and heard this CD, but I will say, theres lots of highlights on here, of course...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - True Artist
True soul in there music this day an age im still looking for good rappers like this an there still trying to stand strong go head bone thugs

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - BT&H
Over all the CD is pure BT&H...but I was really disappointed in the change they made to Tha Crossroad...it's nothing like the original which was an awesome song.
