Amazon.com:
On their first full-length album since 1991's Abba-Esque EP--a disc that should have made Ace of Base redundant--that lovable computer dance duo Erasure returns with tongue-in-cheek soulful vocals and catchy choruses to spare. I Say, I Say, I Say spawned a monster alternative hit with 'Always,' and there are three or four more tunes with equal hum-ability and boogie potential. Vince Clark and Andy Bell won't change your life, but programmed pop can be a lot more painful. --Jim DeRogatis

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Erasure-I Say I Say I Say
I have never been able to listen to the CD I purchased. It was totally scratched when I opened up the package. It is too much trouble to return it-so I totally wasted my money and will never purchase CD's from Amazon again.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Really brought me back
I had been looking and looking for this cd and the music is just as great as I remembered. Highly recommended.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - An album for the ages.
I can listen to Erasure endlessly, especially this cd. Oh man, it's just one of those cd's you can play all day. You can't help but to try to sing to it. I wonder if my friends are tired of me sending them songs from it. Probably not. I highly recommend it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - erasure's best album (and you know it is)
i like to call 'i say, i say, i say' erasure's fairytale album. vince's keyboarding has such a whimsical sound to it, abandoning the bombastic, hoity-toity sounds of the mildy unsettling and (and way too saccharin-y) 'wild.' that album had some nice moments ('drama') but it was just too over-the-top and overproduced ('la gloria,' 'star.'). 'i say...' is full of lucious melodies, tinkly keyboards, attention-grabbing choruses, and andy bell's incredible vocals (pound for pound, probably the best vocalist of our time, as far as pure clarity of voice).

it's perhaps appropriate that the first track on 'i say...' is entitled 'take me back.' it's a track that lets the listener know that erasure are back in fine form. it's immediately followed by the bouncy 'i love saturday.' it's a one-two punch enough to make every other pop-band toss their casio tone banks in the trash. later on the listener gets 'run to ... Digital Life Music News: Drawzilla - Stirring The Pot - NobodySmiling
Some would argue that hip-hop producers have to work twice as hard than MCs/rappers in order to please. And the list of people that need to be satisfied includes not only those rhyming over melodies, but also the critics, the fans, other producers ...
