Rating: - Relieves TMJ pain and its headaches and eyestrain
I would encourage anyone who experiences TMJ pain with its headaches and eyestrain explore trigger point therapy along with whatever else seems to work for their condition. Unfortunately I didn't find it to be the one-stop cure-all that I'd hoped. Ultimately my strategy consisted of that plus hot compresses and self-applied deep myofacial massage. If the pain still flared by bedtime I found that analgesic creams (Tiger Balm and arnica homeopathic) as well as the arnic capsule homeopathic remedy for sore muscles (in this case the jaw/masseter)seemed to help enough so that I could mercifully fall asleep. Otherwise the dull persistent ache of referred pain from the jaw muscles into my rear molar(s) kept me up for hours.
Rating: - Practical Applications
This book is great at mapping out pain and explaining how to extinguish trigger points through direct pressure and stretching exercises. A must have for any bodyworker.

As a Bodyworker, this is a fabulous book. It has helped not only myself, but my clients have benefited greatly as well. It is an easy read and can be of great help to the layman.
Rating: - Incomprehensible
I tried to find specific conditions in the book - and the procedures to follow for treating them. I couldn't even figure out the procedures to follow when reading them - the writing just isn't very clear.
If there is any organization to this book, I couldn't detect it. The author is very enthusiastic about the material and gives lots of her experiences with her patients. That's nice, but judicious editing, better organization and clarity is what this book needs.
