Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - video
I loved this movie and received it in good condition. I just didn't understand why it cost so much.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - One of William H. Macy's Best
This is a wonderful movie. I only wish it will be released on DVD. William H. Macy was so great in this movie - he really is a very diverse actor!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great William H. Macy, Rebecca De Mornay Vehicle
This is a great movie, with a lot of heart. The script was written by Bill Macy, and the director Steve Schachter.
It's hard to believe that this was written for TV since, I believe, it could easily have been a theatrical release. The directing is tight, with superb acting by the entire cast.
I won't go into the plot, since its surprises make this an enjoyable film.
It's definitely a film for over 16 years of age because of topic and some violence.
If you get a chance to see this film, go for it, and enjoy.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Ahh, the hitch 'n' ditch ...
Attractive, worldly con-woman seduces and marries small-town rube for his inheritance. Got to end in tears, right?

William H. Macy stars in this delightful hybrid of extortion thriller and romantic comedy. For the bulk of the running time, it's eminently watchable without really treading new ground. Then, just when you think you've got the ending sorted out in your head ...

If, like me, you'd listen to Mr Macy read his grocery list (and likely shout 'encore!' afterwards) then this will not disappoint. If not ... well, it won't disappoint anyway. It's funny, it's moving without being treacly, and best of all, it isn't entirely predictable. Top stuff.
