Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Women, "BreakThrough" with Your Power
Mr. Michael Lockwood,
I could not put your book down. It revealed so many unanswered questions for me. Knowledge is Power. This is something that your daughters as well as other females and males will prosper from by owning/reading this book. Your book was very Therapeutic. It helped me to realize that I had conquered so much in my life and that my past experiences were truly a beginning to my present and future life. Thank You for this "little light" that you have shone through your book. Had I read this book 25 or so years ago, I would not have had so many blind sided experiences. Reading this book "Made Sense to it ALL". I have always known that I had the power to make my own decisions and that these decisions would have an immense impact as to which direction my life and the lives of my children, family and friends would take. I just did not have the wisdom or the courage to successfully use it. ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Every young woman should own this book!
Before reading this book, I felt a sense of hopelessness. I thought I would Never get a chance at getting a good man, and if I did, I felt that I would probably have to lower my high standards to accomodate him. Now, after reading the book, I know different! If you are a woman who is tired of accepting disrespect and exploitation, read this book. It teaches you everything from how to carry yourself correctly, to how to deal with the pressures of sex. In a nutshell the book has taught me that the way I carry myself and the things I tolerate determines how a man will treat me. I am so grateful to Mr. Lockwood for writing this book!
After reading this book ladies you WILL "Know your power".

God bless!

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Ladies, use your power to purchase another book!
Women, I encourage you to use your Power to choose another title to purchase and read. This book is poorly edited with a significant number of typographical errors. Moreover, it reads much like a rant from a disappointed lover rather than a wise well-meaning father. The author's chauvansitic views include encouraging women to abstain from sex until marriage (as indicated in the Bible) but notes that men need time to be 'playas' before committing. I believe the Bible encouraged both parties to refrain from pre-marital sex? His idea of career planning for women dictates that your decision would not be guided by interests and talent but your ability to work fewer hours and/or only from your home to insure your consistent availability to date 'successful' men, to help them with their dreams and careers, and once chosen for a wife, ultimately to raise the children and to complete household chores. I've heard more interesting, ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wake Up Call
This book is a wake up call to all sistas who are out there trying to figure out "why I don't have a man!" The wonderful humor that Lockwood uses makes this book both light, and enjoyable to read through the midst of him speaking the truth. I highly recommend this book to any woman regardless of age or marital status-because, let's face it sistas, we could all use some good advice if it means us finding a man, keeping a man, or just waking up by saying, "OH MAN! I GET IT!" Way to go Lockwood!
